Alfonso Hotel St Julians Guest Reviews
Meet the expectations for the budget. Well located, clean and functional. However I found it verry noisy. I was in the 1st floor and could hear all the noise from the lobby. Difficult to have some rest.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful, They changed the bed mattresses when requested for some that were "softer". Would have been nice if evening meals were available but Febuary is off season. For the price a very good deal.

Excellent clean room, freshly renovated. My fourth stay at this hotel. Great location. Close to buses to Valletta, Marsaxlokk, Mellieha, Mosta and Mdina. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. No complaints.

This is a budget hotel. There's no A/C or heating (which isn't needed except for the winter). It seems that ALL hotels in Malta have hard, springy mattresses. I could feel every spring in these mattress. The bathrooms are small & there are little annoyances, such as the taps being hard to turn. All in all, it's good for a budget hotel, but if you can afford a few extra euros per night, trade up to a place with A/C or heating and a more modern building.

This is a gem of a little hotel, bang in the center of everything, I stucck with the cheapest standard room, and allthough a bit basic, the bed was comffy and the sheets crisp and spotless. Continental breakfast was very nice and help yourself to as much as you wanted ! All this for £12 a night, amazing value, give it a try.
