Alex Hotel New York Guest Reviews
I've stayed at the Alex many times, and I used to like it a lot, but this was my first back for about a year or so. The place is starting to get a little tired and worn - it's definitely time for a renovation or at least some sprucing up. It's still a decent place to stay, but it's not the gem it once was.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonably priced. The only difficulty i encountered was a mixup that my room was already prepaid, and they had tried to charge the amount on my card. The staff quickly fixed the error, and although it nearly ruined my last day in NY (due to the fact that i couldn't use my card), everything was resolved and had it not been for that, the Alex would have gotten 5 stars.
