Very good motel ,very well situated with a beautiful french restaurant just over the road, everything is in walking distance absolutely spectacular part of the country.....worth a visit.

These modern units are huge and contain a small kitchen and plenty of space. Its close to the shops but since everything is closed during winter there was nothing to do. These units were great but more expensive than average, but you spend a lot of time in them considering theres little to do other than the local pub.

The Akaroa Criterion Motel is a beautiful place to stay whilst enjoying time away. The location is in the heart of Akaroa and all activities are only a leisurely walk away. The Service was exceptional, the owners are extremely welcoming. I will be choosing this motel for my next stay in Akaroa.
