Airotel Hotel Parthenon Athens
4 out of 5

Great location, in a quiet and safe side-street in Plaka. Very helpful staff and good breakfast. Rooms rather ordinary, but clean and with very good beds. We stayed for 2 nights before going to Nachos, and 4 nights after returning and will definately use this hotel next time we visit Athens.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for sightseeing in Athens. Very handy for metro station which is just round the corner. Breakfast buffet really good with a good choice for everyone. Rooms warm and comfortable with very comfortable beds. Reception area and bar are nicely furnished and made a great area for meeting up with friends. Staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Free in room wifi an added bonus. All I can say is stay here and you won't regret it. Very good value for money.

Hotel was very easy to find and close to the Metro, Acropolis, and Plaka. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast included a wide variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, breads, cereals, jams, eggs. The room was a bit small as we were a group of 3 and so there were 3 single beds placed in a room intended for 2 single beds however for the price and location it was not a big inconvenience. Room was clean and everything was in working order...while there was no hot water the first night at 11pm, everything was fine the next morning and night with no issues. Would go back to this hotel and would recommend it to others!

My experience throughout my stay was fantantically good. I was given one of the best rooms with an excellent view of the Acropolis. The hotel receptionists & porters were excellent especially a Mr Kostas who was ever so helpful & went the extra mile to assist mw with my onward flight reservations. The breakfast was good & the locaton superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveller. KH YEO

I stayed there for a night with my family. I have noting to complain for a family room that costs for EU125 which also comes with breakfast. Location is perfect, within 5 min walk to the tourist areas!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel to be very good value for the money. The tea/coffee making is a nice and unusual touch (for Greece). Room was comfortable and very clean, bathroom a little small but adequate. Bed and pillow very comfortable. My husband requested an extra pillow which was in our room, already on our return. Breakfast was the same every day, but enough choice and all the products were good quality. The atmosphere of the hotel is very friendly but efficient. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant and Konstantinos printed out our directions for the theatre which proved invaluable. The hotel itself is in a convenient position, close to the Acropolis metro station and safe to walk around. It is in a side street without any wonderful views but was quite adequate for our needs. We found it quiet and had a lovely stay there. We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely stay - Stylish, friendly. Elegant design room (small as is common in Europe) but nice. Fantastic location far enough away from San Marco to not be over touristy, but easy waking distance, plus right next to vaprretto stop. My self, husband and 7 year old stayed for 3 nights Xmas 2010. Enjoyed the luxury and romance of the roof top spa.

It's a basic hotel - nothing awful, nothing amazing. But it is in an incredible location - less than 5 minutes to the Metro, less than 10 minutes to the Acropolis. Can't beat that. Plus, the service was quite good - all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

3rd visit to athens and this was the best hotel. The hotel balcony over looked other appartments, so the view was not brilliiant, but I expected this. It was very peaceful and atmospheric, especially when greek music was playing quietly in the background from the appartments opposite. Breakfast was really good and varried. Staff were very helpful and the location was central. the metro was 2 minutes away, and just outside the hotel, a fab view of the acropolis. There were many good restaurants near by and all the major sites/ market/ shops were walking distance. Cant wait to go back next year.

Rooms have thin walls so you can hear your neighbours and breakfast is so so..the orange juice is terrible...too sweet. Other than that a nice hotel to stay at and location is perfect, just under the acropolis and 80 metres from the metro stationmaking the trip to the airport very easy.

close to everything for the tourist - 5 minutes walk from the new Parthenon Museum (a MUST see), couple of minutes walk to Acropoli train station (runs every 10 minutes) and access to main areas of Athens, Ferry Port and Airport (every half hour). Very close to Plaka area, plenty of dining choices, wine/beer and coffee spots all with a view of the Parthenon lit up at night. Abundant shopping opportunities. Walking distanct to entrance of The Parthenon.

The headline here is the location - which is about as good as it gets. Walk out of the hotel, go around the corner, and you're looking at the Acropolis above you. It's incredible. You are a close walk to Syntagma, and an even closer walk to Plaka. The rooms are nothing spectacular - just standard amenities, but not bad at all - just basic. All is clean, staff speak English well and are helpful and friendly. If I came back to Athens (which I plan to - it's incredible), I would definitely consider this hotel again.
