Location
Vale Da Lapa Hotel is located between the two fishing villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. The Caneiros Beach is situated close to the hotel. Other attractions of the area include Vale de Covo, Caneiros and Praia da Rocha.

The concept and plans were obviously first-rate, however the finish in the rooms is already starting to fail and the restaurant was disappointing with an attempt at a fine dining experience that did`nt even come close in the food department and the service would have better without popping out to top up the nicotine stench every twenty minutes or so (all written from the perspective of someone that worked six star [best in the world] cruise ships for twenty years). The Spa, although fairly basic was clean and very enjoyable. Go with reasonable expectations, use the beach down the road at Carneiros, eat in the pizza place 100m up the road and have a lovely time.
