Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney, Harbourside
4 out of 5

We found the Adina Apartments so conveniently located to the bars and restaurants of the King Street Wharf. We had a fabulous couple of days, child free, enjoying everything that Sydney has to offer, such as shopping in the CBD, trying our luck at Star Casino, lunch at Doyles, Watsons Bay and even a morning walk from King Street Wharf to Circular Quay and back. If staying again in Sydney, we will be back.

Booked and paid for our accommodation five weeks prior to our Christmas stay, which was a surprise gift for my wife! After payment I contacted the hotel by phone and emailed them with "one request" for the highest level Premier One Bedroom Apartment availabe with partial water views in this 6 storey block, when we arrive merry christmas your on level one, a stay full of happiness turned soured in an instant. So in the end we spent a wet Christmas Day looking at a cement wall balcony from our 4 1/2 star one bedroom premier apartment, where the only partial water views we got to see was from the rain on the balcony floor. That's right five weeks notice to get the highest level floor available and we end up on the First Floor. That's terrible attention to customer request, vastly overpriced, freezer not working, blown light bulbs! Sorry Not A Happy Stay!

It is well positioned for Darling Harbour and Central Sydney. Very convenient for my purpose which was to get to the American Embassy. Within easy reach of cafe and grocery store, and is alongside the aquarium. Very pleasant rooms, although I couldn't get outside onto the balconies. Overall, I thought it was a great deal. I booked the suite on Internet special and thought it by far the best I have stayed in in Sydney

We thought the location was perfect, just a walk away from everything. 15 minutes walk from the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House. 10 minute walk to Westfield, QVB, George & Pitt st. The Sydney Aquarium, Madam Tussands & the Wildlife were just next door. The hotel is located just behind the King St Wharf & the Darling Harbour - amazing food - checking out Casa De Nico & the Cargo bar is a must! The National Maritime museum is right across the Harbour, the Monorail is just there also. The only negative we have is that we were given two single beds that were joined together with a queen or king bed sheet set. It wasn't overly comfortable, and we would occasionally wake up with sore necks due to the not so soft pillows. The staff were amazing, attending to any concerns we have & gave us great advice on where to go & eat (as we were first time Sydney travellers). The rooms were kept well on arrival and when we came back from a big day we came back to a nicely kept room again, just like we first came in. I would strongly recommend people to stay at this place, but perhaps just double check that you have a full queen or king sized bed (if that's what you want) instead of two singles pushed together to pretend to be a queen / king sized bed!

We have stayed here a few times now, always for 1 or 2 nights and this place ticks all the boxes as long as you get a good price which at times can be hard. At a good price this place is really good value, clean, quiet and so close to everything. The only downside I can see about this place is the Lime Bar / Bistro / Cafe / Restaurant where the offerings are very poor indeed. I do not know if "Lime" is associated with the Medina, but if it is then this needs to be looked at immediately since the selections available in this place are very poor. You can forget about the Lime bar for a spot for a refreshing drink or nightcap since they seem to only have two selections to chose from, vodka or Gin. During our stay they had no Whiskey, Bourban, Rum to offer which is rather underwhelming in a location such as Darling Harbour. All in all, this place is a really nice place to stay, just dont bother going into Lime down stairs...

Nice hotel with well furnished and spacious rooms. An excellent location right on Darling Harbour and just a few minutes walk to the CBD. Breakfast in their Lime Cafe was good and inexpensive. Reception staff were very helpful and gave good advice when requested. Reccomended.

This was a wonderful hotel, all the staff were so helpful. It was a wonderful location, just across the road from Darling Harbour which was great as our Cruise was leaving from there. Would recommend this hotel to anyone & will stay there again if ever we go back to Sydney.

Absolutely fantastic. Best hotel in Darling Harbour I have stayed in! Lovely room (given upgrade) with balcony overlooking water. Walked out the door and right at Darling Harbour and restaurants. Walk to city and shops. Small kitchen which always very handy. Just loved it!

Rugs are in need of replacement . No frying pan . Asked front desk and they said that there should be one and that they would see to it . By the time we checked out , still no frying pan .... but other than that, they were very helpful and we quite enjoyed our stay. The best part was it's location : 1 street off the Darling Harbor ; we actually had a partial view of the water . Would recommend the hotel.

The location of the Medina was perfect close to everything. The views from the room were also great. I only wished they provided extra blankets in the each room as the only blanket was on the bed.

Location is second to none - a few minutes from Darling Harbour or from the centre of Sydney. Apartment was larger than expected with the bedroom being separate from the main area. Self contained apartment with kitchen and laundry facilites makes it very comfortable.
