Adelaide Paringa Motel
3 out of 5

On arrival we were given a room copping the full heat of the afternoon sun and an air cond that couldnt cool a thing. Very uncomfortable, pillows like bricks, and not given a new room. After the 1st week we were moved (thankfully). The new room was cool as we left the air cond cranked the entire time. A little dreary with no natural light. A very old motel but given it's budget price you have to expect the worn conditions. Staff all helpful and friendly.

I prefer a few more comforts, a larger space and a window which allows a sense of external space....admittedly this hotel is in the centre of it all and the location is great if that's what you're seeking, but there are no frills here. Staff are friendly although a better understading of theri surroundings and metro options would be good. This is clean, adequate accomodation.

The room was not big. The bed was excellent. The toilet facilities were pretty dated. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a fair bit of noise outside and also from guest returning to their rooms very early in the morning.

Well located right in the heart of the city, this hotel is of the older, budget variety, but that is what I like. Staff were friendly, room was clean and surprisingly large. Its location meant that there was a little bit of noise, but this did not bother us. The public bus from the airport can drop you off within 100m in the nearby Currie St. I recommend this place for its great location and value.

We were booked into a twin single room, and on entering the room, we noticed that the room did not look at all clean. we found lower region body hair in the bathroom sink and on sliding the bathroom door back, ( closed position) it was noted that grime was on the walls that had clearly not been cleaned for many many months. I actually wrote my name and the date in the grime very clearly, it was not just dust, but greasy grime, and was hard to scrub offf my finger. I complained to the management of the state of the room and although I was moved to another room, they insisted that I pay the upgrade fee, even after I gave them all the details as to the filthy state of the room. ( the upgrade was only $30) however on principal it would have been a nice gesture to waiver this fee. The new room, although it did not have the bathroom grime, was a very average standard, and i would say that the 3 star rating is a very fortunate turn of events for the owners, and about 1 1/2 stars over rated. sorry wont be staying again, and will be recommending to business colleagues and family to steer a very wide berth of this place

Room was a little dirty, floor needed proper vacuuming. Staff are only in attendance during normal business hours so to bad if something goes wrong. Not bad for low cost rooms in the heart of the city, parking was also a problem as they use local carpark and you have to drag all of your belongings accross busy hindley st, wouldnt be good if it was raining.

Difficult to access reception to get details of where to park($15). Parking was difficult for a big stationwagon. The room was adequate with all amenities but the bedroom was very plain with no wall hangings or features. The sound of delivery trucks could be heard up til 10.00pm and at 6.00am more trucks and areoplanes made their presence known. Overall quite adequate but will find easier and better accommodation next time.

Ideal City location and budget price. The rooms at the back of the hotel are best as the front ones face a busy street.

A pleasant surprise in an ideal location for what I needed. The desk staff were on the ball and very friendly. The room was good, obviously not 5 star, but good none the less.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and provided us with what we needed. The location was convenient to everything and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a toaster in the room though.

Grubby little place. Very noisy rooms facing the street. When I arrived thay had no record of my booking. I booked a room with a spa and gort a room with shower only. Great location with good pub opposite and nice cafe next door. I won't be staying there again

Older style room in centrally located hotel. Room was clean and well maintained but fixtures and fittings are old. Location is great though as you can walk to the mall, to the station, to restaurants and pubs.

Great location, just half a block from the Rundle Mall and one block from Adelaide casino and rail station. Old building but the superior rooms are clean, fairly spacious and ours on the top floor (fifth) had a window looking straight down Hindley street towards West Terrace.

Difficult to find if on foot. And next to Adelaide's Hindley Street, which can be noisy and sometimes unruly! Reception was good, room was a little pokey with twin beds (the one I used had a lopsided mattress!). Toilet and shower clean, although the plastic vanity is a little tired. Perhaps a little overpriced, even at [this website's]prices.
