Academy Motor Lodge is situated in Fendalton and opposite Canterbury University, near railway stations and five kilometres to city centre and Christchurch International Airport. During free time, visitors can tee off at Hagley Golf Course or catch racing events at Riccarton and Addington Raceways.

No criticism but we did think space in the studio apt was tight - especially for a big person. Otherwise, all fine.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We got lots of advice on what to do and see and how to access the public transport system. Meals were reasonably priced, well proportioned and timely. We had booked our initial stay after arrival and decided to end our trip there as well before leaving New Zealand. Thanks to all the staff.
