Clean, comfortable and affordable. Helpful staff and great location with Darling Harbour, Entertainment Centre, Central Station, good restaurants & cafes within easy walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel, will definitely stay there again next time we're in Sydney.

staff were very friendly and very pleasant- room was ok- bigger than we thought- a little noisy as could hear thumps from upstairs- probably people jumping off the bunk bed?? for the price and location a good deal

At first glance this hotel looks seedy, but the room was clean, bed was comfy and the amenities were good. Close to everything I needed. Staff were helpful. Would recommend.

I have stayed here before, and probably will again. The location is good for Chinatown & Darling Harbour and is a do-able suitcase on wheels walk from Central Station. The hotel is a rather ramshackle rejigging of an old commercial premises into a budget no-frills hotel. That's okay. But, this visit was not satisfactory on two accounts: 1) I was - I believe - misled on the price of the room and, 2) the overpriced room was on the third floor in a hotel with a 2 floor lift, with the 3rd floor accessed by a very steep staircase. Do not attempt this climb with heavy luggage if you are not very fit. The room itself was a pretend hotel room cobbled together from some left over rooms. I am not a happy customer on this booking.

Great location close to central station, chinatown and entertainment centre. Shops and restaurants accross the road . Heritage listed building with 'old style;' but comfortable,,

The staff at Aaron's were lovely. All very helpful. Lift wasn't working on our arrival. Lots of apologies and our bags were carried to room for us. All fixed by mid afternoon. Old fashioned air on in windows but worked fine and wasn't noticeably noisy. Great shower. No decaf coffee in room, possibly available but I didn't ask. $2 per hr for wireless Internet access in room with good reception. Lots of tourist facilities right outside door and easy access to trains, light rail and buses. Great spot and good value for money

The room is not clean enough and there is only a small window in the room. A bit noisy but the location is close to restaurants and China Town.

The room was so tiny, it felt overcrowded with just me in it. No room to turn around in the bathroom either. This hotel is OK if you want just a bed, and the location is excellent just across the road from Paddy's Markets in Chinatown. But if you are looking for comfort, or travelling with a friend, this would not be a good choice.

A nice location, near darling harbour, hay market , and central station, and so Georges street. Staff smiling and welcoming; practice the restaurant Aroma Coffe.

We chose this hotel for it's price and location and in that it did not let us down. It was adequate for the purposes of a busy business trip. The lift broke down most days and that's a problem for someone with artificial hip at the end of a long day on their feet. There was mould growing in the bathroom walls and the general smell of mustiness could not be disguised by the automatic air freshener. Unfortunately rubbish collection every day at early morning was not a nice wakeup call outside the window. Also noice from street was very apparent....Staff were helpful, linen and cleanliness were good. Adjoining cafe was brilliant in terms of helpful and great value good food.

The receptionist told me my credit card was refused, turns out that she had a PIN machine but didn't ask me to enter the pin so it was rejected. Silly error, pin & chip cards are vey common, staff should know how to process them. Reception looked reasonable, basic but OK, we had come into town at the Easter break with no reservations so couldn't be choosy, especially since our travel companions were on a tight budget. Beyond reception things went downhill, scruffy, stained carpets and ugly rooms with nothing to endear them except a comfortable bed and clean linen/towels. The trunking cover was missing in our room leaving the mains wires hanging on the floor. Our companions awoke in the night to the sound of rain and water was dripping from the ceiling onto the bed. They were moved the next day whilst out of the hotel and returned to the alternative room to find black mold on the wall! Moved for a second time and as the bookings were in my name I voiced my complaints at reception and the entire party received vouchers for a free full breakfast. It was good. The second alternative room was leak and mold free. Summary? Ugly, dog eared, tired rooms with comfortable beds. Tolerable if you are desperate. A last resort.

Althought its location is so convienience, the cleanliness of room is unacceptable. Cockroach is everywhere. We killed more than 5 a night. It's better when we requested to swap a room. It's not value for money.

The Hotel is in a tired old building, the entrance lobby is not too bad and other parts of the entrance are being upgraded. The lift is old and slow but better than the stairs. Lobbies are tired and carpets threadbare and well worn. Our room was very comfortable large bed and firm mattress It contained most of what we needed but not tissues biscuits and those other little things that separate a good hotel from a great hotel. We had the room on the top floor which was surrounded on two sides by busy roads. Friday was very noisy Saturday much the same and Sunday we had a good nights sleep. Air con is also tired. Location is reasonably central with transport close by. Staff very helpful - I would stay here again but ask for a room at the back. Good reasonably priced meals also.

Had a "deluxe room for 5 nights. The room itself was rather large even with a king size bed. The amenities were cleaned everyday however the shower rails were moldy and in need of silicone. All the towels were changed and the bed made everyday. The room itself was on the corner of the building near an intersection and a lot of street noise was let in. Still a good value hotel across from Paddy's market in Chinatown and close to many other tourist attractions

This is a centrally located hotel not far from Central Railway station and Chinatown. It isn't new but it is clean and honest. The staff are available and attentive. My room had an ensuite bathroom with fresh fluffy towels, a nice TV and a DVD Player. Bed was comfy and in good order and a requested early wake-up call was provided. Location wise great, near Chinatown and a pretty easy walk to Central Station especially if heading off to the Airport, about 20mins in the train. I'd happily stay there again and would prefer it to others charging more and offering less.
